Pride in Gloucestershire

About

Who We Are

Pride in Gloucestershire stands as a beacon of celebration and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community across our county. Through events like our annual Pride celebration, we strive to connect, uplift, and inspire. Our mission is to combat homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia while pushing for continual progress, acceptance, and inclusivity.

Driven by our passion for equality and diversity, we envision a society where all LGBTQ+ individuals can realise their full potential. We endeavour to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues, providing resources, education, and entertainment in a nurturing environment.

Our Initiatives

Pride in Gloucestershire organises a wide range of events and initiatives across the county, designed to foster community, celebrate diversity, and provide safe spaces for connection, learning, and support.

Annual Pride Events

Every year, thousands gather in Gloucester Park for our flagship Pride Day – a vibrant celebration of LGBTQ+ identity, visibility, and joy.

But Pride in Gloucestershire goes further. With our Pride in Cheltenham and outreach events across the Forest of Dean, we’re taking Pride into every corner of the county.

Reaching people. Breaking isolation. Building community where it matters most.

Socials and Community Events

Our work goes beyond Pride events. Throughout the year, we create safe, welcoming spaces for people to connect, socialise, and feel at home in their community.

At the heart of this is our Pride Hub – a pop-up space during Pride Week where workshops, talks, and social events come together to celebrate, support, and strengthen our community.

Dedicated Community Networks

Our work includes dedicated spaces for communities within the LGBTQ+ spectrum.

Trans in Gloucestershire provides support, advocacy, and a platform for trans voices across the county.

K&F in Gloucestershire brings the kink community together in a safe, understanding space centred on connection, learning, and inclusion.

GLIDE – Our Employers Network

We champion inclusion at work through GLIDE – our LGBTQ+ employers’ network.

Connecting businesses across Gloucestershire, GLIDE provides the support and tools needed to build inclusive workplaces that truly work for everyone.

Everything we do is about one thing – creating a community where everyone feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

Our Aims: Pride with Purpose

Community

Creating connection, visibility and belonging for LGBTQ+ people across Gloucestershire.

Progress

Creating connection, visibility and belonging for LGBTQ+ people across Gloucestershire.

Care

Prioritising wellbeing, safety and mutual support. Ensuring Pride is welcoming, accessible and compassionate.

Our Constitution and Annual Reports

Our charity constitution is the foundation of Pride in Gloucestershire’s identity and purpose, setting out our objectives, governance, and how we operate.

It guides everything we do – ensuring transparency, accountability, and a clear commitment to supporting and celebrating our LGBTQ+ community across the county.

The Trustees of Pride in Gloucestershire

Our Trustees play a vital role in guiding and overseeing Pride in Gloucestershire. Elected by our members, they champion our mission, support the LGBTQ+ community, and ensure we operate with accountability, integrity, and impact.
