Travel to Pride

Bus (Stagecoach)
Stagecoach Bus Routes to Cheltenham Town Centre will take you only a 10-minute walk from Imperial Gardens. The “Cheltenham, Imperial Square” bus stop is right by the park for a closer stop.

Car

No private parking is provided at the event site. There is limited paid on-street car parking in the surrounding area; however, these are normally very busy, so we advise parking in the multi-story carparks in the town centre and walking to the park.

E-Scooter (Voi)
There is a Voi parking spot at the south of the park.

Accessibility

Pride in Gloucestershire is committed to making our events as accessible and inclusive as possible. We hope the information on accessibility helps you make an informed plan for your day with us.

Please ask at the Pride Information Point when you arrive if you need help at the event. Printed event programs are available on the day, including large font versions.

If you have any questions or accessibility needs, and you would like to inform us before our events, please email our Accessibility and Inclusion team at accessibility@prideinglos.org.uk. All personal information will be stored securely and handled in line with GDPR.

Toilet Facilities

Pride March
The forming point is outside John Lewis and Partners – several public toilets are in the surrounding area.

Pride Event
We provide a range of accessible toilet facilities to ensure comfort and convenience for all attendees. This includes accessible portable toilets, baby changing facilities, and a staffed Changing Places ReviLoo, which is equipped to meet the needs of people who require additional assistance.

BSL & Assistance Animals

BSL
The main stage will have full BSL interpretation at at Pride in Cheltenham.

Assistance Animals
We wholeheartedly welcome assistance animals at Pride in Cheltenham and all Pride in Gloucestershire events. We recognise their essential role for many individuals and ensure they are accommodated so everyone can enjoy the event.

Physical Access

Pride March
The pride march occurs along the High Street, Pedestrianised Areas, and paved roads. The surface is suitable for wheelchairs, although it may be a little bumpy due to the paved areas. We have had many wheelchair users join us along the route in past years with no problems!

Pride Event
The entire park is accessible – taking advantage of the installed hardstanding pathways and ramped access to all areas.

The park has plenty of benches and places to sit. You are also welcome to bring your own camping chairs with you.

Neurodivergent Access

Recognising the diverse needs of our community, we have created a sensory zone designed to provide a quieter, more comfortable space for those who may find the event overwhelming. This zone is equipped with ear defenders and fidget toys to help manage sensory input.

The event is in an open park; visitors can leave and return later!

How can attendees with accessibility needs request additional accommodations?

If you have any questions or accessibility needs, and you would like to inform us before our events, please email our Accessibility and Inclusion team at accessibility@prideinglos.org.uk. All personal information will be stored securely and handled in line with GDPR.
