• All trustees serve on a voluntary basis, dedicating their time and expertise to advance the mission of Pride in Gloucestershire.
• Trustees are responsible for ensuring the charity meets its legal obligations, from financial oversight to compliance with regulations.
• Trustees oversee the strategic direction of the charity, helping shape its goals and ensuring that all activities align with PiG's mission and values.
• Although their primary role is governance, trustees are encouraged to take an operational role, bringing both hands-on experience and leadership.
• Trustees work to amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ individuals and groups, fostering visibility, acceptance, and positive change in Gloucestershire and beyond.
• The board values diversity of thought, experience, and background, ensuring that the needs of the entire community are represented.

Becoming a trustee for Pride in Gloucestershire is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference within the LGBTQ+ community. As a registered charity in England and Wales, we are governed by Charity Law, and all trustees must adhere to our policies, procedures, and the criteria set out in our constitution.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Trustees must be LGBTQ+ individuals or allies who are over 18 years old and have a connection to Gloucestershire—whether through residence, work, or other meaningful ties.
• As a trustee, you must not have an unspent conviction for specific offences (such as those involving dishonesty or deception), be an undischarged bankrupt, have an Individual Voluntary Agreement (IVA), or be listed on the sex offenders' register.
